Recent <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2017\/06\/05\/the-iphones-camera-app-can-now-read-qr-codes\/\">reports<\/a> <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">revealed<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that the tech giant has now adopted the way other QR code readers work. iOS 11 and iOS 12 systems are now capable of reading QR codes through the device camera. There is no need to download external applications.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As you may have already learned from previous blog posts, a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.qrstuff.com\/qr_codes.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">QR code<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> stands for \u201cQuick Response\u201d and refers to a mobile phone readable barcode that contains <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.qrstuff.com\/type\/phone-number\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">phone numbers<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.qrstuff.com\/blog\/data-types\/qr-codes-for-instant-messaging\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SMS messages<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.qrstuff.com\/type\/email\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">email addresses<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, information for <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.qrstuff.com\/digital-business-card\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">business cards\u00a0<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">or just <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.qrstuff.com\/type\/plain-text\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">plain text<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Apple is taking advantage of the popularity of these intuitive codes to present a feature without the need for a third-party app for scanning.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"heading\"> How To Scan QR Codes Using Your Apple Device<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Scanning the QR code you have using your Apple device &#8212; yes, including the iPad &#8212; has opened up a new realm of possibilities for those that rely on these innovations. The steps for scanning the code are simple and easy:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Open the Camera app. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Point the camera lens to capture the QR code at just the right distance &#8212; not too close and not too far. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Apple scanning feature will automatically read the code. The user will receive a prompt to follow the URL. Simply head over to Settings, then Camera.
